Whisky, Liquid Gold

Liquid gold. That's what I, a humble whisky lover, call this spirit. I know that in my home country, Spain, many would say that oil is liquid gold, but do you have to mature oil for 3 years in an oak cask before it can be called oil? I think the answer is no. And yes, friends, here in Scotland it is established by law that whisky has to be matured at least 3 years in an oak barrel, otherwise it cannot be called whisky.
